                                                                 Welcome to my Tall World

Check out this full color sneak peek of my upcoming Children’s illustrated Cookbook, featuring healthy family friendly recipes.  This book is dedicated to help fight childhood obesity and teach children how to cook at home, and learn what a chef does with realistic kitchen illustrations. This book is inspired by my volunteer work with Chicago Public schools in conjunction with Michelle Obama’s healthy schools campaign.

                                                                              Who is Chef Jeff?

Chef Jeff Goldfarb is Chicago born native. I am 7ft tall and wear a size 20 shoe. The World’s Tallest Chef.

I am a colorful, charismatic and talented chef. My career started at age 16 and I have been cooking for 25 years. My father is a retired chef from Amtrak, and I choose to become a chef instead of playing basketball. My high school basketball coaches did not take to well to my decision to cook. I attended Joliet Jr. College and Johnson and Wales for Culinary arts. Culinary school was the foundation for my extensive culinary expertise.

In 1989 my internship for Walt Disney World, presented an opportunity to work opening task force of Pleasure Island. I have worked for Holiday Inn, The Fairmont Hotel, and had a long career working for The Chicago Downtown Marriott Hotel for 13 years. I have advanced knowledge in International Cuisine, and well versed in being a professional manager and mentor. I have traveled and cooked in Seattle, Hawaii, Alaska, and Wyoming. My spontaneous and adventurous spirit contributed to my most recent position as chef at Laramie River Dude Ranch.I was however run down by an 800 lbs cow while working on the ranch. To make a long story short; I sprained my knee. The cow got his revenge on the chef, now that cow is in your grocery store ground beef.  In my present position I’m a  private chef to local clients and celebrities in the Chicago area. My clients are confidential.I am also an active chef volunteer with Meals on Wheels to help feed the eldery and disabled. I am a very active volunteer chef with Chicago public schools teaching healthy lifestyle to help fight childhood obesity.  Some of my hobbies are : collecting cookbooks, study of Food Science, collecting antiquities and study of Marine Life-Beluga Whales and Dolphins.  Don’t hesitate to contact me about my private chef services. It will be the most amazing and memorable food experience of your life.
