Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingrediants, except the pear and the 2 tablespoons butter, in a blender to form a batter. Place 2 tablespoons of butter into a 10 inch cast-iron skillet. Add one sliced pear, place in oven for about 10 minutes. Stir the pear after 5 minutes, using caution. Carefully remove skillet from oven and pour batter in hot skillet. Bake for 35 minutes, edges should be brown and puffed, it will puff up very good, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve right from the skillet to the table, use caution it will be hot and tasty.
