Smoked Beer burgers

soaked mesquite wood chips-soaked in water

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. In a shallow roasting pan add wood, place a roasting rack on top. Cover with foil, place in oven. Turn on vents in kitchen or open some windows. Mix ground beef with salt and pepper, add beer, incorporate, add breadcrumbs. Form into pattys, even, and plump. When the smoke chips are ready and giving off smoke and hot, add the pattys on to the rack, cover with foil, and cook burgers in oven for 10-12 minutes, till it reaches a medium- rare-medium temperature 125 -135 degrees. Remove from oven, add cheese to burger, place back in oven to melt cheese. Warm up burger buns, plate up. Place lettuce on bottom bun, place burger next, then onion and tomato. Serve with steak fries, condiments. The flavor of the pale ale will go well with the smokey flavor and cheddar cheese.  Bacon is optional.

This sounds delicious. Can this be done in an electric smoker? If so, can you please advise on what temp and for how long approx? Thanks!

    Hi,

This can be done in a electric smoker on 250 degrees for 10-15 or until done as desired. Thank you.
